The Taylor Tornado is the Piranha’s little brother. It’s still very much in the Piranha mould, only a bit smaller, tighter and more focused.

We have learned that not every trumpet player wants the monster sound and power of the Piranha. They may require a more generic trumpet that can blend with Strads, Xenos and other mainstream horns.

The brief for these players is to have a horn with comfortable resistance, easy to play in all registers and the ability to light up on demand.

The Tornado shares the same general design vibe as the Piranha. They are obviously related and both have the same .460 bore. The main difference is in the mouthpipe and bell tapers.

The Tornado can come in either traditional main tuning slide set-up or, reverse tuning slide. It’s your choice.
